Interesting find and quite colorful. However, my first visual impression lumps this with "snapshot" images. Since I like the subject and want to like the image better, I spend some time trying to figure out my reaction. I think the photographic issue is the right half and upper 1/4 of the picture contain very strong high contrast areas of white sky and dark branches and underbrush that the eye cannot resist. This feels like too much competition with the main subject. Perhaps a square crop removing most of the sky would still include enough of the environment while putting emphasis on the main subject.

The variations in light add interest, as does the processing to black and white. All the curves impart a sense of motion, giving the eye much to enjoy.

Good positioning to have the colorful background work so well as an apparent natural habitat for the colorful bicyclist to blend in so well. The combination results in quite a graphic work.

Somber and unusual, the image raises questions without answers. Seems like something we would find published on 1X, which often favors unique artistic concepts.

Peaceful, calming, good simplicity. To my eye, the image could convey a stronger message about the sea if presented as a panorama with much of the sky above the clouds eliminated, although that is just a matter of individual taste.
