entrainedby gysComment: I can't figure out how to add something to the photographer's comments, maybe I should be a paid-up member?
Anyway, I'm very chuffed with my first brown, and with all the interesting comments. But, I'm sad to say that this is mainly due to a mistake on my side. This is a photograph of a water drop on a very hairy leaf. I liked the abstract swirls that it made in the water, and thought it might be a good contender for some interesting comments and a very low place (maybe brown?) in the "In the Garden II" challenge. Then I went and entered it in the wrong challenge by mistake!
So, for the DNMC comments - you're spot on! For the others, who saw a bit more in it than even I did - thanks a bunch! |

I go on forever.... by sekarmalathyComment: I may be wrong, but I don't see the point of using HDR for this. The scene seems to have low dynamic range, so this may as well have been a "normal" capture. That said, this is still my highest rated image of the challenge - it is simply a stunning photo. |

Out in the Fieldsby kiwinessComment: Gorgeous, I just wish her head wasn't aligned with the black blob of trees (?) in the background. |

Rock Outcrop-White Sandsby twmaxComment: Very nice shot, the three elements of the sand, clouds and rock make for a very interesting composition. Great BW conversion. Is there really that little texture in the sand, or is this may due to a little too much noise reduction? I feel that the image lacks a little contrast in the nearby foreground. |

sculpture-garden.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Its a lovely setting and the mist over the water makes for a very interesting effect by hiding what's just around the corner.
The lighting does seem a little flat - the image could do with a bit more contrast, especially in the stone wall. I also find the reflections in the bottom part a little distracting, imho cropping off bottom part of the photo just above the base of the grasses improves the composition. In Flightby Covert_OddityComment: I'm not sure the PP matches the subject. I've seen this type of effect used with great success with street/people photography, to create a retro effect, but I don't think I like it for nature/landscape. |

Winter Thawby Bear_MusicComment: Very nice composition, I like the clear stream and the grass that look like an animal's fur coat. Not a fan of HDR though, it makes me want to see what the image really looks like. |

Strandedby StructorComment: Great photo! I like how the lines in the clouds leads towards the stranded boat. Did you use a polarizer? |
