Um... I don't think the forums is the right place for this. If you have a problem with a persons comment you should just message them. You do have that ability from their profile, just click on "undisclosed" next to where it says "Email:".

I don't have a problem with a single comment, but looking through the last challenge pics I happened to notice that this voter wrote a lot of very terse, negative comments. I checked her profile, and saw that her voting average was under 3, and read in another of her comments that she was directed to look at a particular image by someone. The whole thing looks to me like she has some agenda beyond photographic criticism, so I thought I'd out her. If you leave comments here you need to be ready to stand behind them, IMO. I am.

Folks, the first decision you have to make on this site is just how serious you are going to take it here.

In my opinion, on a site that is WIDE open you cannot take too much of what goes on here as anything close to gospel.

We have 11 year old first time photographers and 30 year veterans all submitting photos.

We have (admitted in some of the threads here) folks with their relatives coming here and voting..ranging in age from 5 to 85.

We have inane web surfers who's only activity in life is surfing the web, find opinion sites and giving their limited ones (1's :-)

So..before we all get to much into who a melzymel is we better ask...who cares? And more important. If we can't take the melzymel's, whether they be ringers, uninformed surfers, or irate girlfriends or whatever we better either find another site or offer a more controlled voting environment..if that is what folks want.

But having this weekly b & m session (bitch and moan) is going nowhere but making is seem we can't cope with the world.

I got miffed last week at inane stuff...figured my goals here and readjusted to what the site offered.

Yes!!! Judging by reading the comments she's left for everyone else... I believe I have finally gotten a comment from melzymel. I didn't get one last round and I was kinda feeling left out. :)

Oh, Dear! I've been on this site long enough, that I'm actually agreeing with Hokie!

We really do need to realize the wide spectrum of visitors to this site, and viewing our pictures. In my household alone, I have from young grandchildren to my 92 year old mother looking in!

As far as Melzymel, everybody is entitled to their opinions and how they long or briefly they express them. So far, they are not profane, as others have been. They seem pretty harmless to me.
