I love taking photos of natural and industrial subjects. I try to shoot mundane subjects and make them look beautiful in some way by using lighting and composition techniques. I think I do a pretty good job but I'm still learning.

I love looking at people. I like taking photos of people...try to get into their skin and show, through the photo, the real person. |

If it moves I shoot it, if it don't I shoot it twice...
Personally, I have no one specific genre that I like to shoot and truly believe that if I become genre driven that I will feel trapped and this whole hobby will become a chore...just my thoughts...
If I really really have to pick an area that is fun for me, I guess it would be people when they are not expecting it (Candids), catch their expressions but not those faces that they want to make for the camera.

I pretty much like everything. If I had to choose though I think I would choose taking pictures of kids. They have the best expressions...

I love to photograph chicks in scantily clad clothing. But unfortunately I have yet to do so...so I settle for the borring stuff like the sun, sky, grass, buildings, roads, and so on.
No, in all honesty though, I think I've been fed up with that stuff for a while and would like to get into people photography...but I don't have the equipment or the space...or the willing bodies.

Hmmm, street shots: mainly because it's challengeing and sometimes you may get amazing candid shots of emotions, that's for sport. However, I have lately been shooting abandoned buildings. Outside shots seem to bore me, so I find interesting corners, windows, walls, firepalces, door ways and play off the natural light and textures provided. It new material to capture for me. Again it's a challenge to find old homes from the late 1800's that are still standing. So the hunt ti what I like about that subject matter. I do also enjoy abtract shots too, makeing something mudane and make it interesting....Oh, not to forget, love to photgraph along the Missouri River Basins...great shots for fog and dead trees, the best time for those are in the Winter. Then, I love to storm chase and shoot the storm in Front and hopefully capture lighting at it best or even a tornado. Came close a few weeks ago to get a tornado in my lens, but, missed it. must be quick. Then quicker to get out of the way. :) I guess those are a few of the favs for me. However, there are others ideas that ponder around in my head. But I'm done yapping for now. |
