So my group of people do not have a voice(am I not a voice OR represent a group of people)??? That is what you are saying.

Thats rght. I am a voice of many but only I have elected to come forward. Is this not a diverse community???

Which is why I have raised my concern to them. Your obviously not seeing the injustice of editing one persons remarks and not the other. I'm not asking for that but am asking the SC as a collectiv remind eachother that whats good for one is good for everybody and they shouldn't be editing posts where it is not needed.

So we should delete any time one other individual has a problem with it? In that case, this thread is so deleted.

Why because I'm right??? or because SC will not admit to doing wrong???

Because you said I was unfair and I'm offended!

If you represent any group at all, it's a tiny minority in this case. Whereas the post you complained about may have offended a few people (VERY few, I suspect), your own posts were more universally offensive in nature.

Exactly why the other one remains.

and now you want to over use your authority??? thats exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for making my point.

MK is making a point and you're missing it.

Every thread would have to be deleted practically if they deleted threads when someone was offended. This thread offends me. Delete it.

Deleting posts based solely upon one person's complaint was YOUR idea, not MK's.

So what your saying is that a small minority does not count or matter which IS my point.

I think you are making notonline's point as well, or at least mine. I would lump myself into notonline's "group" RE the original spawn of this thread.

I get the feeling it's always important to kiss the collective butt of the SC so as not to constantly get your posts deleted.

-edit: spelling

Funny how everything ends up proving your point, eh?

Perhaps I can be more clear. You want us to change a post because YOU don't like it. ONE SINGLE PERSON asked to have it changed. Okay, so we do it because ONE PERSON asked for it. In that case, ONE PERSON (me, or whoever) wants this post deleted. Well, we did it for you as one person, we should do it for me, too, right? That's only fair. But it's overuse of my authority to delete it when I'M offended, just not when YOU'RE offended.

I'm offended ... but only for the sake of joining the bandwagon.

No, that wasn't what I was saying at all. I'm saying that because someone offended "america" (if you will) the minorities do not matter and thats what I have a problem with.

edit: I am not talking race/creed or color.

No, I'm saying that if the vast majority approves, then we aren't going to delete posts where it's not needed (which was your other point).

This was more like someone praised America and offended Bucknum, Wyoming. Sorry, Bucknum... you lose.

I have not broken any ToA in this post or the post in question. I was offended by the content of another post and have asked not to have that post edited, removed, deleted or hidden but to have YOU people as SC to think wider then you are when someone or some people request something. A simple edit to remove the offensive material would have done it but I'm not asking for that now. I'm asking that you take into consideration the minorities when sometihng of a religious nature comes into a forum as to not spark a debate and treat everything fairly since this has NOT been done in the past.

Can we please move on to more important things before someone breaks out a rake?

OK, lemme have a go at explaining this...

The original post that started all this mentioned religion (a relevant bible quote, I think), but it was within the context of the thread. You took offence to this religious comment and posted as such. However, since your comment was offtopic (ie not about the thread's original subject), it was removed from the thread.

My advice would be for you to start a Rant thread discussing your complaint about others posting (on-topic) religious references.

DEAD-ON!

I totally agree with this...it off-topic of the thread, inflammatory, and unnecessary.

And BTW notonline, you keep referring to the "other" post as offensive, but I have not seen that anyone was offended but you.

I lose??? I'm not playing a game here. I'm simple stating that you shouldn't be deleting/editing/removing or hiding people posts. Especially when your doing it one sided. Why not start a thread for religious debate since thats where your trying to put this.
