Or have the number of submissions gone down since the change. I'm wondering if the extra challenge isn't splitting the energies of the photographers. Or perhaps it's just too busy a time of year.
Does make it easier to vote though.

it's a busy time of year. two great challenge topics this week and i have the feeling that i won't have time to submit to either one ... and then my parents, who i haven't seen for over a year, are visiting from germany ... i'm sure i won't be online much until after they leave at the beginning of january. to quote someone's signature "but that's just me". :)

It is certainly a crazy time of the year, especially with Christmas around the corner. I'm trying to tie up a bunch of loose ends at work before the HOlidays so I can start the year fresh. I didn't submit anything for last week's challenges. I hope to submit something this week. We'll see if I have time and if I'm inspired.

I think it's just that people are busy. I want to participate more, but am too busy. I'm just hoping I'll have a couple of good images to submit. Haven't had a chance to shoot anything yet, and barely time to consider what I may do.

And I have a feeling that a lot of images are being disqualified for border violations, including one of mine, and another is up for DQ now.

This is not correct. As I recall, there have only been 2 or 3 since the new rules took effect.
