Lovely shots - you can really see the glaciers and the flow pattern!

No idea where it is though! ;-0

probably greenland or the east coast of Canada, it's not Iceland, the Icebergs hasn't reached the coastline of Iceland yet..

Frankfurt to Calgary...wouldn't that have come over the west coast? It looks like Alaska.

Frankfurt to Calgary still goes over the Atlantic I think, but a very northern route. I'd bet on Greenland. Was it about 3-4 hours out of Frankfurt? The timing would nail it down.

yeah that is true.. i am not sure how long after we left it was :( I suppose i could look on my exif info though and do some calculations.

And yes, it takes a rather northern route (frankfurt - calgary) ... up beside norway, over iceland, greenland, hudson bay.. and then calgary.

the most direct route around something round, is not 'straight'.. it is curved, hence the northern route.

Greenland east coast. You need a globe to find the correct route. A line on a projected map doesn't show the correct route.

I would have to say jonr gets the prize.. these images do look fairly similar to eastern greenland shots.

it's that place that's really cold. I'm positive.

The namings of Greenland and Iceland are surely some of the earliest examples of deceptive advertising by developers.

Well, it could have been worse. They could have called it Toasty Buns Land.

Wow, I need to think more 3 dimensionally...I'm not sure if I would have believed someone that a Frankfurt/Calgary route crosses Iceland without access to a globe!

Thanks, jonr!
