I don't know CS2 but speaking as a CS owner that tool isn't included. Assuming you used the tool to paint over the picture to create your selection you can accomplish the same thing by enabling a quick mask and then just using the regular brush tool to create your mask that you can turn into a selection afterwards.

if you return to read this...
when you are in quick mask mode, or in any mode... every tool photoshop has is available.
So along with 'painting' your selection, you can use curves, blur, u-shrp mask.... art filters, noise, curves, anything at all, to effect your mask. |

PS... and features like that are why you made the effort to get photoshop... a limitless tool

It is a huge learning curve, but very satisfying once you come up it. You might want to pick up a book as a reference; doing so will speed up your learning quite a bit. One that I know is good is Photoshop CS2 for Photographers by Martin Evening.

Going from Elements 2 to CS2 I notice a big difference in using the clone tool and variations. They are really different, and I find myself going back to Elements to use these 2 tools. I just cannot figure out how to make them work well with CS2. |
