"Weekends"- Kinda a Speed Challenge-- Photo must be taken on Friday,Sat, or Sunday.
Take a photo that shows your idea of what the weekend means to you.

Please don't do the guitar challenge in the next round...

I'd love to shoot one for that.
But I'm still travelling on a business trip, and will only be back home to my guitars the week after next!

I'd hate to miss that one :-(

I am all for the guitar challenge. It would be an excuse to re-shoot this and get rid of the dust.

I hear ya... This one had a ton of dust on this one...think it was lint from trying to clean it. Besides I got rid of the Eddie V tape and got some cool Blink-182 siggies on there now.

cuz you know people will use water and laundry as last minute entries just to have an update button. (notice beer wasn't included in the fresh part)

Here's a few ideas that (I hope) haven't been done yet ...

1. SILK. Submit an image which illustrates the beauty of silk. This may be in the form of webs, coccoons, thread, fabric or garments. You choose. Ensure that silk is the MAIN subject in your image.

2. SPICE. Submit an image wich depicts the qualities which made spice some of the most valuable items of trade in the ancient and medieval world.

3. RIM LIGHTING is an often used studio technique, where just the outline of the subject is lit. Use this technique in your submission.

4. FOLIAGE. We have see the best of the flowers, now focus in on the foliage of plants using light and shadow to bring out the textures and subtle tones of green.

5. LITERATURE. Take a character from literature, ancient or modern, human, aniamal or mythical. Bring him/her/it to DPC. Your tile MUST be the title of the book from which your character comes.

6. GRAFFITI. OK don't go and spray up the town, there's already plenty of graffiti out there. Show us your local spray artists work. Use your photographic skills to provide a context for the graffiti and not a simple literal photographic representation (remember the rules of DPC).

Aluminum could be a fun subject to go after, It has many forms from Beer and Soda cans, Car and Bike Rims, Foil which you can get creative with, and about 10 million other things.

I live in Wisconsin, I waited all winter for spring to arrive so I could enter more challenges without limiting myself to indoor shots, Wait til January 2007 to have the cold challenge, please please.

Has there ever been a New Construction Challenge?

Personally, I love a recycled challenge now and again. Being fairly new to this site I have not been able to participate in any of those challenges, and this gives me an opportunity to do so.
