These are so cute! Wish I still had a pet :o( I'll just go ride my friends' horses instead! :oD I'm glad someone made a pet thread though! I may not be able to submit anything, but I'll still stop by daily to appreciate all the lovely creatures and photography of course! 8o)

Nice critter, chele. They get all sorts of arcane and magical realist when they grow up though - you gotta watch out...

Sorry to have to post saying that I will not be able to participate in this challenge, but oh! what a weekend it has been.
Let's see, Friday my wife Brenda along with my mom and sister left our home in Winchester, VA driving to greater Atlanta for my niece's wedding shower. On the way down Brenda became very uncomfortable, and on Saturday decided to visit the ER. Diagonosis was for gall stones, and she was advised to see our family doctor promptly upon return to Virginia and expect to have her gall bladder removed.
Early Sunday (around 8 am) I was at work and got a phone call: Brenda had worsened considerably, returned to the ER, and was waiting for results from her tests. I hopped a flight and was in Atlanta by 1 o'clock with no luggage, not even a toothbrush, and was picked up at the airport by a relative. While we were enroute to the hospital (Paulding for you locals) my cellphone rings: she is being transferred to Cobb General hospital for surgery there.
About 6 that evening she goes in for a 1 hour laproscopic (no idea of the correct spelling) procedure that turned into a 4+ hour ordeal. Surgeon said in his nine years of doctorin', hers was about the worst gall bladder he has run across. Bottom line is that she is FINE now but can't return home until late in the week. I'm just too pooped to even think about taking a picture, much less consider a 30 day project.
Of course I know that's ok and I thank you all in advance for your thoughts, prayers, and general concern for my wife. She really is fine now (except for the healing part :) but the worst is over. And she and I both have loads of family in Atlanta, so no worries there. Sorry to 'crash' the pet thread with my tale, but this was the first place I came to, and I truly am too exhausted to try to think of a better place to post... heading to bed very shortly.
I'll drop back in next week when we return home, and I'll be looking for some great pet photos :o) Thanks for your understanding.

Day 2 - a shelter pet. I probably got paranoid after yesterday's pic comments and oversharpened ;-) Don't think I've quite got that mastered yet!
