*Seriously, have you ever seen a better photo of a single tree in your life!?! This should have walked away with the blue!

*All in jest, this shot sucks. LoL!

I don't really have anything yet... LOL

BUT, I think I just might after the Jan Free Study... I really have an awesome shot there and I am not sure why people are voting it so low because no one is commenting except to say, "Wow! Perfectly done" etc...? I will come back and change this after the challenge ends ;)

I may rant a little too LOL

I think this was an entry that deserved a better score. (The only post-processing involved was basically re-size and re-sharpen.)

My hope for the people who posted here is that their own experience makes them more open-minded when they are judging other people's photos.

p.s. why do I get the feeling that Judi's thread won't have as many entries as this thread? hmmm....

The fact that I am interested to know if he raised the $280 says a lot. I love it an agree with you. You was robbed!

thanks surfinbird. :)

I myself gave out a 7 for this particular image. I thought it was quite striking though a little depressing.

Thank you Citadel. That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. :)

I figured this would get me my personal best, but it didn't. It ended up with an OK score, but it spent almost the entire voting period at 5.9.

here are a few of mine that i thought that should have been 6+, but were not. i'm happy with them though. some of my favorites...since i'm a portraiture buff, i guess i might be a little more biased towards them than others :)

I have a several that I thought were underrated, and also some that I thought were overrated, but really they were all just rated. I was surprised that this one didn't reach 6 for Bokeh, though-

I thought this one (must look close to see):

Oh wait, DNMC... Nevermind. :)

I remember this one. I remember thinking that it was ahead of its time and even though I gave it a good score that many would not because it met the quality of the foreground not background that most were used to seeing. I still think it is one of the most artistic shots in the bokeh challenge for what that is worth.

Bump - lets try to get this going again!
02/04/2007 07:12:20 PM · #118

23 favs at 5.9. Kinda robbed score-wise, but I expected that. I got it all back in the comments and the favs - didn't expect that though.

Yes, you did got rob if the title is the only thing wrong. That was trouble to get a low score. Next time come up a title from the movie Hanged high from Clint Easthwood.

I'm waiting for the DOF challenge to finish - Looks like it will be my worst!

The one that bummed me out the most was:
I thought it was a 6.0 or higher

I am also upset with these as well:

Oh well... can't please everyone - right? :)
