I think I also know which one is Svetlana's photo. It will be interesting to see if I'm right. And I have a hunch about Darren's photo, too. But less sure on that one.
Edit to add - I have no idea which photo is yours, hipychik - don't know your style yet!

Open the photograph, on the left hand side will be a box for Photograph Information, the favorites checkbox is at the bottom of the information.

Thanks Mary, I knew it was something ridiculously easy! And I think I recognized Svetlana's pic too.

Since I've been grumbling a lot lately I wanted to post something happy... I am very pleased about my Acronyms entry!! I got a favorite, some great comments, and a score and placement that were higher than I expected. It's even now my fourth highest scoring entry.
Yay! |

Due to the lovely weather, my radiator froze up today! Which in turn sprang a leak in a hose, which is turn led to me losing all my antifreeze, which in turn led to me cancelling my appointment to take pictures of someone getting reflexology today. Bye bye alternative medicine entry. Ugh! Now, should I search my house for something red or not have an update button all week? |

I'm slowwwwly going through my pics from Disney World, but here's one that pretty well captures the pure joy and frenetic pace of our trip. :)
As one of the guidebooks says, if you're looking for a relaxing vacation, go somewhere else!

I shot for Red, yet I expect a ton of DNMC votes. Ah the irony. |

thanks for the lovely words, deb. ya bring a lump to my throat.
jeffrey - nice shots, it's good to see the family, and a full pic of your face - i don't think i 'd seen one before.
i don't know if i should shoot for red or not. i'm just not inspired at all. flu and a shack wacky kid are conspiring to drive me absolutley insane. i'm so tired of EVERY SINGLE THING being a battle. gah! if he's like this when he's 3, what'll he be like when he's 12? ARGH! when the man gets home tomorrow, i'm going to take a few days and stay in my mum and dad's house, just to get away from it all.

Re the RED eye - which I will not post again. It even makes me a little uneasy to look at it. Sorry I put it up here - just seemed a like a challenge-appropriate thing to do. I don't always have the very best of judgement (which you can usually tell by my challenge entries...lol)Thanks for the "get to the doctor" advice. I think I will do so tomorrow - It's actually creepier looking than it is painful, but it's kind of irritating.

Chuckle. You can see loads of my face in my self-portrait collections, if you're so inspired. Here's a quasi-serious one from the small second batch:
And here's one that more suits my personality, from the full-size batch:
I hope you feel better soon. We've had one time when both of us were sick and both kids were well. We just flat-out told them we needed to rest and they needed to entertain themselves. Granted, it's harder to do with a 3-year-old, but know that it can be easier in the future. :)

thanks, don for some nice comments, one on my free study,a nd the lovely one on my, oddly hotly debated, poohsticks. whoever thought a little pic of my kid could generate this much furore? and, no, i'm not being disingenuous - i find this very very odd.
ah well, it takes all kinds, dunnit?

Your image was just a catalyst for something that Arcady's been thinking about for some time now. People are calling him a bully, but really he's just a thinking man developing his aesthetic. He does so in a confrontational way, like a knife that needs to be sharpened by grinding on a stone. |

I must have missed something here? What's up with the contraversey on a photo of your kid, Christian? |

i have no problem with thinking and fiugring stuff out and the like, and i do actually agree with some of what he says.
but...
he does discuss in a slightly bullying tone, with very oppositional and absolutist statements that, while i'm sure he does not mean it, hurt and insult. there is nothing wrong with expressing oneself, but, one needs to consider the effect of one's words on one's listeners.
it's called responsibility.

well, it's easy for me to defend him, since he didn't trot out my photo. I do think he could be more considerate. I also think the people who attack him are way out of bounds. You were far more polite to him than some other people were. (and that's the best revenge :) |

Note to Bob - the picture of the museum does have some perspective correction applied. That wide angle lens will distort stuff depending on how close I am. I'll post a "before and after" later today after work so you can see how much. And thanks to Bear for helping me out with the transform tool thingie.
Picture I'm talking about:
Hey, Chris - good to hear from you!
Speaking of hearing from people, Jeff, have you heard from Jeanne at all? Wondering how she's doing. And our other Chris ( bryantbus) has been quiet lately.... |
