Thanks Deb, may just let it ride...
...but it isn't that good a picture, and I've shown up too much in recent challenges, so I need to go on strike for awhile in terms of appearing in my pix...
Sorry, posthumous, Team Minus will have to do without me this time - and thanks for the comment on crossdress!

I'm in with a shot I love. To my astonishment is getting a lot of votes below 5. The score is currently at 5.05 with 71 votes and 2 comments. Fortunately one comment said "... I love it". That eases the pain a little. |

Yippee! Looks likely to FINALLY bump off one of my top 5 on my profile page. First time in 2 1/2 months, nearly 30 entries.

Mind you, this actually reflects well on the voters' judgement. |

I dunno how this'll shake down over the last of the trip down the road to the finish line, but as of right now, my Grain entry is tied with my PB from Procrastination.
I am SERIOUSLY happy!!!!!!

WTG Jeb ! That is wonderful. I'm eager to find out which one is yours.
My Colour Portrait - what I thought was a sure shot for personal best - is coming in at 5.7xxx, so unless it take a good sized jump, won't bump my old personal best.
Ah well - onward and upward.

After viewing the recent thumbs(circles & time), it looks like 'Team Suck' may have to come up with a new name. Most of our challenge entries were very well done and none of them really and truly sucked. Great job everyone!

Hey, wait a minute, nobody said our entries suck (well, except the voters). It's the scores that suck. There's a big difference there. Glad you have seen the light. |

the sprog wanted to see what his stitch looked like, andthe only way was to take a picture of it - it's inaccesible by mirror. so - i decided to share it with all and sundry. aren't you lucky!
he's fine. he says it only hurts when he touches it, so my response was - well, then don't touch it! such sympathy...
he's doing pretty well - i got my first stitches at 26! |

Hey......you remember these?
The truck's my ribbon, Monroe is my B&W OOBIE, and the glass piece is my minimalism entry......
You remember any of the scores?
The truck's 6.75, the portrait's 4.4857, and the glass piece's is 3.9535
The point is, people remember the ribbon, they remember the flagrant OOBIE effort of the color shot in the black and white challenge, but nobody......except me.....remembers my turd of a minimalism shot.
Don't waste a DQ on a shot that nobody will remember two weeks, if that, from now.

I didn't expect even that high from my cross-dress entry, so I'm happy with that.
But I'm quite disappointed in my portrait - I had it pegged for a personal best. *sigh*

Christian, tell the Sprog he's a brave boy, looks like his stitches hurt.
I have zero ideas for pop culture (well, I have a few, but none that are feasible). Have an idea for Langdon's b-day, but pretty busy with in-laws here today and an architectural photo shoot tomorrow. So probably will be MIA (at least challenge wise) for the next few. |

Don't ya just hate it when things you get PAID to do get in the way of DPC challenges? :P

Of course! But isn't it ideal to do what you love to do, and get paid for it too?

Do they take only B&W? All of the sample images are.

Okay, I actually do have an entry in for Langdon's b-day. It is supremely ridiculous. It will either be loved or hated. My guess is the latter. |

I've got all my props ready for my bday shot for Langdon. Will he be commenting on the pix, as stdavidson did for that Where in the world challenge?
Oh the frustration of owning an old comp. My CD player in my ibook reads but doesn't write. However the local radio shack can get me an externally mounted via USB writable CD drive for $75 CDN ('bout $90 after taxes). Cheaper I figure than getting the mac guys to mess around with my comp's guts.
