Some of you may get some good ideas for photos in the autumn by looking at these published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. These were taken by one of their staff photographers.photos |

I have been both inspired and intimidated about fall photography since I saw this cover shot!

Very pretty picture, Damitriel.
Here are some of mine that I took this past month. The birdhouse with the snow on it was taken a few days ago.

Carston, great photos. I really like the one with the rake in it. Fall is hard work! |

Wow, Remie, that are some very colourful photos! Admit it, you increased the saturation in postprocessing a LOT, didn't you? ;-) I only tried a little on autumn leaves today but it's been rainy and cloudy all day so that doesn't make a good light :-/

Sonifo, Thanks, I took these pictures about one mile from where I live in the Netherlands. It's a driveway towards an old farmhouse. I had to get up early to make the photos before the leafs on the road would be disturbed by traffic. BTW, I just saw your photos. They look great too. I like "Rainy Day" most.
Stephan, Thanks. Well, differing from photo to photo, I raised saturation about 10-30%. I also adjusted the brightness/contrast a little. I was lucky we had some very sunny days lately though. I hope for you the weather clears up before all leafs are blown of the trees and the colorfull looking sceneries are gone.
Jmmsp, great pics, especially the red leaf on the sepia. |

Hooray! The leaves finally changed enough in Western North Carolina to say we have color and take pictures!
Sob! It was an overcast, but bright, day and that wrecks havoc with the haze in these mountains. Of the 50 or so pics I was able to take, these three were the most salvageable. When I say a gray sky, what you see is what it looked like. Anyway . . . . .
These are also what I wanted for "My Corner of the World," but Drew and Langdon were a few weeks ahead of the color season (which was exceptionally late in these parts this year).
Lake Logan (my personal favorite) Waterfall Looking Glass This picture does no justice to this awesome sight!

Really like Lake Logan -- the contrast between the brighter sprays of color in the right foregound against the more diffuse but colorful background. |

Sonifo - LOVE "Rainy Day"!
jimmsp - "All alone" is my fav - what a cool shot!
Remie - I guess I'm just surprised that where you live looks a lot like it does here (Virginia, USA)! What wonderful shots of the farmhouse driveway. Linda

Here is my image--hope you are not bored by now. It was taken in my woods by the North Saskatchewan, situated not too many miles downstream from it's source in the Columbia Icefield in the Canadian Rockies. |
