Totally agree with this choice re Melethia image below for this reason.

Totally outstanding image here Deb, wonderful leading lines, great perspective, excellent rhythm, and just plain good photography as well.....

Rural Landscape:
An (O'Keeffe like) architectural - mono w/interesting light characterization.

ok, here are my ribbons for Urban Landscape. I didn't get to Rural. I hope this doesn't get me committed.

Posthumous Blue Ribbon
to mihaibadic for
(the horizon in the mirror makes this a landscape. the title makes this a poem.)

Posthumous Red Ribbon
to omnisppot for

Posthumous Yellow Ribbon (a tie)
to jazzdude for
to erickuribe for
(the scope of these photos is large enough to be considered a landscape and they are definitely urban. even so, I realize I'm stretching the challenge definition. That's why they only get yellows even though they are outstanding, breathtaking photos that I favorited.)

I won a Posthumous Ribbon just before this thread started. And I can tell you... It's a different taste from a DPC ribbon, but it tastes very gooooood too ;)

Ditto, and I have much the same feeling from all the comments on photos in the Sharpless August thread as well.

im glad the disagreeableness between you two on my photo gave birth to a brand new type of ribbon :)
