LOL!! You guys are too funny! But you have made my morning a lot brighter. Well, cheerfuller (not a word, I know) because mornings are always bright here. Some day I suspect we'll see a cloud... when we do, I'll make sure I take a picture of it!

Give her what they gave me: the OOObie... (Often Out Of the Box); I'd be thrilled to have her alongside me on that podium...

Don't hold your breath. Closest you'll get to a cloud is a sandstorm, and you ain't gonna wanna go out and shoot THAT...

Yappie for rheverly for this wonderful comment on my almost brown flora entry during the challenge...

Death, portrayed as it occurs, without softness, or gentle tones. Harsh in color, light. Every choice made here makes this point. I wonder how many here, in their search for beauty, miss life when it is presented to them?

Surely Macro, POV, and Pencil yielded something...

Unfortunately I did not get to vote much this round since I had been traveling. Here are two I liked from Macro (from the half I voted on):

Can I please nominate yanko for a Yappie for his comment on my Point of View entry:

"Isn't this great? What I see here is a man(kind) walking away, oblivious to the beauty that surrounds him. His wondrous machines fill the frame with pride while nature fills the remaining gaps. It's now just a reflection, an echo of it's former self yet it surrounds man, protecting him with unconditional love, a mother's love, a gaia's love to be sure."

How cool is THAT to receive - SMILE!

Personally I'd like to nominate the image this applies to:

for an Oobie. It really jumped out the page at me.

How can you be IN THE BOX and OUT OF THE BOX at the same time?

Welcome to Schroedinger's Photo:

Second.

This could be an interesting series - box grater sunset, box grater sunrise, box grater at scenic overlook, box grater in the rain with an umbrella, box grater with a half naked young woman.

Haha! I've actually thought of that, but I don't have ready access to young, naked women, unfortunately...

Julianne - thanks so much! I love getting OOBIE noms. I feel that is one of the great rewards for playing here.

This is my pic for an OOBIE. Read the comments to get a better analysis of the photo. As usual, I love the work of boysetsfire and here is my nom:
