I do hope people use a bit of imaguination with this, I fear some may just take a nic epic and then rotate it in PS.

I agree, I think the main emphasis on this challenge is creativity, not just taking a picture at the last minute of anything upside down. Gonna be tough though

Agree Maverick and Cbonsall - this one has me really thinking. UpSide Down??
Hummmm, will take some thought but it'll be fun.
I love the advertizment challenge. I think the results are very good. Lots of great ideas.

'It's a camera angle. It's a subject position. It's whatever your creativity limits you to. Your photo must be taken this week (05/6-05/12). Good luck!'

Hmmm... how is it a camera angle? Is there a difference between holding the camera upside down and rotating the image 180 degrees? Can't see many going this route sucessfully. IYO, are standard images of right-side-up subjects, either taken with the camera upside down or rotated after the fact, going to be seen as meeting the challenge?

Taking pics of upside down stuff seems straightforward enough. Getting a little bored of the "subject hunt" challenges, though. How does this teach you about photography?

Hope my creativity doesn't limit me to anything...

I don't think it's the creativity that's limiting. . . ;)

I don't think I'd give marks if it is a picture of something that has simply been taken upside down, but I will probably mark low if I think it hasn't been taken with much imagination

I'm foreseeing lots o' children on jungle gyms with hair hanging down. How else ya gonna tell unless something is obviously proving gravity is not just a good idea...it's the law.

Go to a zoo. Then get kicked out for using flash in the dark nocturnal creatures exhibit.

We've got bats living at the end of our garden, but they move *far* to fast, and hard to find when roosting :o/ I've tried and failed to get a shot of one of them, as they're near impossible to see, and then they've gone! But you've given me a good idea... ;o)

They don't have bats at my zoo. I wonder why, they are quite plentiful in certain places around here. I am having a real hard time thinking of something original for this challenge. I know that hanging myself upside down is out of the question.

hmm, good idea - there is a bridge in downtown Austin with over 1 million bats nesting(?) under it... maybe I'll go for a walk :)

I've been to that bridge! I was in Austin to visit a friend in April last year. I can't remember the name of the street, is it Constitution?

I hope you have had your rabies shot. It can be a little dangerous getting around bats.

Congress. It's pretty wild seeing them at dusk, as they all take flight about the same time to go and hunt. Looks like smoke (that smells)

Saw it... though for some reason the night I was there they were slow in coming out. Hopefully I'll be back again, and catch it on a better night.

Time of year makes a big difference. I've spent quite a bit of time staying in hotels around the river at that bridge so seen it through various seasons. The best time is apparently towards the end of summer, when the majority of young bats are still there but starting to fly.

you know what would be AWESOME? something upside down that's not normally upside down. Like a semi truck. Or a house that's been thrown by a tornado. that's the kind of stuff I'm trying to find this week...

damn (looking for a new idea...)

I found myself wishing for a tornado this week like Dortothy and the Wizard of Oz. Failing to live in the Tornado/Natural disaster capital of the world (DARN!!)
I have something sorta freaky in mind. ...."Honey, we NEED those mirrors over the bed this week...HONEST!!!"

This was a HARD challenge. Fortunately I came up with the incredibly unique idea of a kid hanging upside down on monkeybars. Oh wait, that might be the cliche. Nevermind.

I had this cool figure 8 sculpture but..well..you get the idea................
