Until now I only lurked on this board, but I found it was time to register and become a member.
Participating in the challenges is way to soon for me. But this board is, in my opinion, the best place to learn as much as possible.

Greetings Koekie!

Have you tried the Welcome Center yet for your guide to the ins and outs of the site? Will make life a lot easier.

Hello and welcome from louisiana. You'll learn a lot here on DPC.

Can you see the Northern Lights from your location? - I hope not - LOL !

Hi and welcome.

Just visited (Bruges) Belgium this spring. Many, many wonderful memories.
With all the beautiful images surrounding you, I am sure it won't be long before you enter a challenge.

Thanks for the welcoming words :-)

@Snaffles: I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll find out soon I guess

@Kenskid : Aah, those beautiful Northern Lights...Unfortunately far away from here, but I believe something on the wish-list of everyone to see with their own eyes. I know it's on my wish-list anyway.

@Drydoc : Bruges is not that far from my home location. One of the most beautiful cities of this country, next to the centre of Brussels and the old part of Antwerp, Ghent...

Hi Koekie..

dont be afraid to enter challenges just because you feel you are not good enough - entering challenges is the BEST way to learn when starting out. Dont be put off by low scores - with practice and inspiration you will see them scores slowly starting to creep up..

good luck!

Howdy!
Welcome to DPC. If you want to meet a lot of DPC'ers, a great way is to get into the side challenges that are going on each month. They are a good way to get feedback about your photos, and to help boost your interest in shooting every day. There is no scoring there, so no pressure to produce stunning images for the side challenges.
I hope you enjoy your time on line here as much as I do. There are a lot of fine, caring. and helpful people using this site.

Welcome! It seems that Strikeslip doesn't know too much about Belgium, the beer is so much better than the chocolate. Hope you're doing well in your first challenge (I didn't)

Depends on what you like :-)
To me, nothing can beat the taste of a real Godiva chocolate - the only handmade brand we have in our country. And the taste of a good Chimay, Duvel or Hoegaarden is not to be ignored either.
