Sucking Wind. LOL. This is my first photo in ages, so I'm not too worried. But, I was amazed--even knowing how unlikely it was that it would score well--at how fast I was racing to the computer to check the score. After a couple of years I forgot what the vote tally check was like.

This is more like the score I was hoping for. Those early voters were brutal, somebody was in a bad mood.

Seriously has anyone checked lately if there are people with double or triple accounts, who seem to get those early low votes in and then vanish, someone needs to investigate.......LOL.

The Tactical voting seems to me to happen more in the open challenges, which makes sense. I really don't think there is much that can be done about it, and it is impossible to prove whether or not someone is just casting an honest opinion. Last time the site council cast a troll net, they also caught some members who most certainly are not trolls, but had exhibited voting patterns that fit.

Was hoping i could somehow break into the 6 range but i appear to yet again be falling short. Was a 5.85 until the past 2 votes kicked in.

I never was close. I'm swinging between 5.6667 and 5.85. Right now at 5.8.

I expected about 5.5 so pretty close. Judging from the entries there are some really good ones there, I would think at least 10 over 6 and a couple over 7

I saw a 6 breifly but it is long gone now. This has been the most frustrating challenge I have entered in awhile. I wonder what all the low voting is about. When I voted I couldn't find anything that deserved less than a five and most are 6 or higher. I guess I could understand all these low scores if the entries were subpar, but I think there are so many amazing images its hard to choose a favorite.

It's way above what I expected today after such a bumpy start last night. At 3 votes it was around 4.3.
Shooting into the light is tough to do and have a nice looking photo. Into the light is hard on contrast and colors. The images almost always are either very low key, or have a blown out highlight, usually a big one, all of the above are not too DPC voter friendly. My entry falls in the large blow out category, which is why I am surprised to find it doing so well.

two votes to go from 5.8723 to 5.7551. That was a couple of threes. The second time today with back to back threes.
