Hi Amnon, welcome to the side challenge.
To upload a picture into it you get the picture id -six digit number that appears when you hover over your picture - and then you post it by clicking on the little box second from right in the series if little boxes at the top where it says message and you will get a pop up box to enter that number into, and then you click ok and then post. Hope that helps, if not someone else can explain anything I've missed.

.

Went out with my boom camera again this afternoon, after thinking about it a little, & got these. Found something I thought might be interesting from the air, found the elevated ground, extended the monopod to the max & stretched my arm up as high as I could. It was windy, & that got me to thinking about the possible perils of helium balloon photography. Hmm.

If the camera is level when you screw it on the monopod, the horizon will always be level in the shot because to balance the camara at full extension in one hand, the monopod has to be a good vertical. I think.

It was easiest to put the foot of the monopod in the palm of my hand, using my fingers for steadiness, & then just balance it there. I used my other hand as a safety line. The hard part is arching my back to keep an eye on where the lens is pointing. The trick is to have a very small camera on the end of the monopod. The Lumix is small enough that I sometimes have a hard time keeping a good grip on it. I'm thinking of the Kodak sport camera for the balloon--small, shockproof, waterproof & it also shoots video which would evade the remote trigger problem. Hope I don't get arrested!

This little violet was about as big as my thumbnail. I held it in a sunbeam, bracing my hand on the corner of my table at Clementine's. I was eating quiche & salad before I went out with my boom camera.

I thought about introducing weekly photo impressionist techniques into this SC to focus a bit more on learning. My current list of PI (Photo Impressionist) techniques includes:

1. blur through long exposure e.g moving water, skiers passing by
2. blur through camera movement e.g. tree trunks in vertical movement
3. selected focus by using Lensbaby
4. PP - blending of focused and blurred images in software
5. PP - using blur vignette to emphasize the subject
6. using light and color to create abstract impressions
7. deep DOF with one element in focus and the background blurred

This list is neither complete nor correct ;) I am still waiting for my book in Photo Impressionist Techniques so these are just observations from some of the photos entered into this SC.

I welcome corrections and additions to the list. I would like to start next week with the first theme.

I think it's useful to remember that the impressionist painters were non-conforming to the rules of the day, couldn't make it into juried competition, & so started the Salon des Refusés. Also, they embraced spontaneous, serendipitous interaction with the ordinary world around them. Kind of like the Posthumous-award-winning photogs here.

So, one thing that could be added to your list is to use the camera to freely interact with, rather than objectively record, the ordinary world around us. Shoot without thinking.

I think you have pretty good participation in this side challenge, and if you try to channel people's interpretation too much it might drop off a bit. The side challenges that keep people's interest for longest are usually open to people doing their own thing to some large extent.
