Hello everyone!
I am Samantha Mojica, 32 years of age from Dakota.
I am new to this site and accidentally found it while researching some discussions regarding digital photography.
I hope I get to learn a lot of new things here which I would really appreciate especially that are new to me.

Hello and welcome!
Make yourself a part of the community, participate in challenges, and ask questions.
If you do those three things, there's no way you won't learn, and in fact, you'll probably learn very fast.
Be sure to fill out your profile so we can give you equipment specific advice, and so you have your camera information programmed into DPC for challenges.
Check your camera date and time, that's a big one, and learn the specific editing rules associated with each type of challenge.
In a few weeks we'll be starting a new Team competition, so if you're interested in having a team to help you along, and can commit to entering one challenge a week (or more), then you should seriously consider joining a team (it's random, so you're just in a pool, no favorites here!), where you'll meet some great community members who can help you to rapidly improve by offering advice and feedback on your entries for the league. Participation is totally optional though, so if you're not ready yet, just sit back and watch the fun! Either way, there's tons to learn here.

| Welcome. Biggest advice is to put up entries that you're happy with. scores will be what they are, don't expect to get above a 6 unless you're "A Photographer" and can produce great images every time you submit. be happy with the mid 5's to start :) |
