More testing.
Today featured the GPS. Not sure how useful but nice to have it. Once started and locked with the satellite then it runs even if you switch the camera off. It then keeps a log that you can download to the card and then to computer and you can see on computer (google earth) the route and points the camera travelled.
I just posted the original of the pic for docpjv here
Here is the exif with GPS data and with a click away "locate on map"
Edit for pagination ;)
Enjoy,
Tibi

Many Thanks!
Incredible that yhou were able to get that hand-held at f/10! The 0.3 second exposure really tests the IS, it's about 3 stops greater than what you can reliably use without IS. Not so many years ago, the thought of using ISO 25600 would have seemed ludicrous. Now, not so much.

I had the chance to handle a 6D the other day at the store. The form factor is very nice; it sits in the hand like a 7D, and it has controls like a 7D. I'm not gonna be trading my 5D2 in on it, of course, but it seems like a wonderful bit of gear moving up from APS-C. Feels very solid. |

Welcome aboard. I love mine and have no regrets purchasing it. Paired with the 40mm 2.8 is very very portable. I pretty much carry it with me everyday everywhere. Would I like to have the 5DMK3? Yes, but not for traveling and only I have extra cash |

I am in same situation except that I carry 24-105 and don't have extra cash for 5DMK3 either :) |
