This is just ... impossible!
Look the difference between the two shots (1:42 and 1:43).
How can you possibly recompose the bottom right which is totally blurred.
This is a nice fake. Try to find an official post from adobe about this ... there's none.

Nope, it's not. There is real research behind it, and as others have posted, it's really based on hardware *and* software, not just software.
Bottom line, what they don't cover is what you give up, namely a *lot* of resolution to get the DoF data. |

| I was wondering about this just the other day. About five or six years ago there was a guy (who was from India but was doing research in California) who said he was going to try to develop a post-processing re-focusing program - and having just watched the video, maybe it's him speaking. |
