Capture day and night, occurring at the exact same spot, within a single frame. You can also capture dawn/day/noon/dusk/night if you'd prefer to push the gradient to extremes.
Expert Editing.

Not that I've ever actually done one, but it will be very easy to do. I'd be happy to help you if you like. |

just one question short of leaving my camera set up in one location, how do i get the same image, or is it possible to adjust things enough to make it believable? |

Expert anything. So most things go I guess. I guess maybe try to mark where your tripod was, and remember the orientation settings it was out with.

Tripod in a fixed location is still your best option, if for some reason you weren't able to get your shots in exactly the same framing, I guess you can approximate and do a photostitch. |

How does this challenge fit into the WPL?

If you plan to stitch images to make a pan, be sure that you shoot all of the images at the same aperture, focal length, and from as close as possible from exactly the same camera position (POV). Use shutter speed, filters, and/or iso to get the exposure levels needed. The same applies if you plan to stack the images in processing.

So that those who are making decisions can screw with WPL. While it used to seem that they don't want another DPL, it now appears that they don't support or want any league here.
I'm exaggerating a little and speaking mostly from frustration. So many people have been asking for years about the future of DPL and there has been very little response and nothing definitive from the mystery person/people who make these decisions. Now that an independent league has been formed, this wrench has been thrown into the gears complicating it.
This probably wasn't intentional, however, it wouldn't have happened if the same entity that sets challenges was also in charge of the official league (DPL) that many people have been asking for.

It's a complication and I'm guessing that this challenge will be removed from league play. For this week we will probably have to run with one less challenge. That seems the simple solution but I suppose it's up to SDW to make the decision. |

So uhm I'm guessing that we can't shoot with 2 different lenses? You can't shoot say the fg with a zoom/telephoto, then use a wide angle to shoot the bg? If that's the case, may not bother. |

To my knowledge, the Expert Editing rule set doesn't disallow the use of more than 1 camera or lens. You'd only be able to select one camera+lens when filling out the details though. |

Thanks for sharing. I think with 28 days to plan there will be some fantastic images on here. I have some ideas and hopefully can get something worthy together. |
