I read about a woman who was specializing in recreating cherished old photos as best as possible... YOU at Christmas when you got that bike or record player in 1973 or had that classic snapshot taken with Micky Mouse... She, and you, and what ever other people, props, lighting...mood, ideally return to the exact same spot or simulate it... Very cool concept and quite the project to make a photo from...

A Vimeo Video made about her : *******vimeo.com/28051776#

Her home page: ******** irinawerning.com/index.php?/bttf2/back-to-the-future-2-2011/

A diptych or link to the original would be necessary...

Ok, the first thing we're gonna have to teach you is to parse your links :)

When you click "reply", directly under the message box where you type are three little boxes: show signature, automatically parse URLs, post contains adult content. Make sure that second one is clicked and if you just copy the target address from the address bar into the message box, it will (should) automatically parse for you.

If that doesn't work, I'm about to do the second option, which is to copy and paste the target address in the body, like this www.irinawerning.com/index.php?/bttf2/back-to-the-future-2-2011/

and finally insert the hyperlink into a word, like this. To do this last version, highlight the word, click on the little world icon (4th from the right) immediately above the message box, next to the word "message", and paste the target link into the field provided. Click ok, and voila.

Regarding the actual link, very cool. I've seen several photogs tackling this sort of concept. Very clever.

Tangy, I think he started doing that when DPC wouldn't LET him post links.

It won't parse links that don't have the protocols loaded in front.

www.irinawerning.com/index.php?/bttf2/back-to-the-future-2-2011/

add a www to them and they work.

Apparently as a newbie, I can't post links yet...I might be a spammer on the down low and just waiting for your confidence to exploit ;)

It's a distinct possibility, and we cannot be too vigilant. Talk to us again when your probationary tasks have been completed. "What tasks?" you ask plaintively? To which I reply, in an ominous tone of voice, "Talk to Art!"

No complaints. It's understandable... Just makes the destination linked to that must better if you have to cut/paste/work a step or two extra to get there.

To quote Shirley Bassey:

'There is fashion, there is fad
Some good, some bad
And the joke is rather sad
When it's all just history repeating'

A better challenge could not be suggested for this site in its current incarnation!!
