Woo hooo! Just got a call from my camera store, they have received my 1D Mark II and are shipping it UPS tomorrow! With some luck I'm getting it on Friday! Woo hoo! Was worth the 4 months waiting list!

Congrats - having stood next to a man firing a MII at a recent sporting event, and hearing first hand the nearly 9 frames a second, all I can say is WOW. It's very impressive for that reason alone (and I'm sure there are many others).

All right, first impressions:

1-It's heavy!
2-It's FASSSSTTTTT! Very fast!
3-Amazing performance.
4-It's heavy, my right arm is going to become bigger than my left one! LOL :D
5-Wide angles are now wider! Love the 1.3x crop factor instead of the 1.6x

Yep, it sure is heavy. I've had the privaledge of taking my friend's 1D out (I assume it's about the same weight as the Mark II). After shooting for 2 hours at a hockey game with the 70-200mm f/2.8L IS lens on there it really starts to get heavy!
