no need now you have the 6D LOL

any feedback how you likin' it?

Hehe cool - that's what I like to hear:)

I haven't actually taken it out of the house yet - went camping at weekend and took 70D instead - usual case of wanting to look after a new toy for the first few weeks. Will test drive it this week properly for sure.

I have both. 6D and 5DMKIII. The 6D takes just as good of photos as the MKIII. I primarily use the 6D for portraits and tripod stuff. Soon I will be adding the MKIV. Im waiting to see the reviews on it to see if its worth the $$$ compared to the MKIII. Thr DPRAW on it doesnt interest me at all and IMO is basically useless by their thoery. You would have to shoot everything in DPRAW just in case you need to save a few images from a missed focus.

Not so sure about its utility... I'd certainly turn it on when doing macro, or when doing very shallow DoF portraits. When working with large, DoF, well, probably not, but who knows? I see that Adobe has indicated they are working on supporting it in Lr, which bodes well for acceptance. My gut feel is that it could well be more useful than it might first appear.
I'm really only waiting to see the DR and noise numbers on the new sensor, and if I like 'em, then I am in.

This is what interests me the most. As far as macro, I focus stack most of my macro stuff anymore.

Just an update to say I am really pleased with the Canon 6D - the upgrade has far exceeded my expectations.

Fortunately the timing was very good as I was asked to do some event photography at a local one day festival and it sure helped with the photos of the bands at night (2 of these are recent entries of mine)

Here is a link to a gallery of my first event photography efforts - the bands were really pleased with the results and the festival organisers were too so perhaps next time I will charge them for my services:)

Glad you're enjoying it Paul! I wish I had as good an opportunity to really exercise my new 5D Mk IV... so far it has been cat (and dog) pictures, LOL.

Nicely done! I'm glad you like it, but hey, what's not to like?

Cheers
