Horrible, the super-rich on the petty economy drive! How awful!!! .
DPReview has been always my number one place to check everything about the gear I wanted to buy, their reviews were always spot on for me, what they said is what I found out to be true after purchases.
Another honest site gone :(

Amazon bought DPR a while back, and its speculated that the volume of ads revenue & affiliate sales wasn't high enough to keep them in the black any more, so they're getting axed as a cost cutting measure :(

Like Margaret, I have always depended on dpr as the encyclopedic source on everything digital cameras. Plus I like the guys. AND their children.
But it seems also that digital has reached some kind of peak; not many players left in the game.

| It sounds like the videos will continue but all the reviews and useful technical information will disappear. |

That's not going to help much when I want to compare the technical specifications of different cameras or lenses though. |

| It's a great shame that the amassed reviews and tech info will be gone. Too bad they cannot find a way to host that content somewhere. It's no good to Amazon at this point. |

| Someone has created a petition so stop Amazon from closing DPReview. I doubt it will help, but people are doing what they can. |
