I purchased this little camera on a suggestion from a friend and the images dont seem too good. Not really any better than my old 2600z. Wondering what you guys think...
Here is a link to some pics...

It sounds like you need a cam that...
1.) Will provide some advanced features so you can extend your skills
2.) Has excellent optical performance
Here is the best site I know of to do reasearch on what might be right for you.

//www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Casio/casio_exz40.asp is a review. You can compare it to others reviewed there - the reviewsa re VERY thourough and consistent.
Newegg.com has it for $255. Newegg is a good outfit, good prices.
What are you looking for in camera? Small and pocjetable or more advanced features?
Nikon and Fuji make both...both are good. I went from one fuji to another and that kept eh learning curve relatively flat. My buddy has an older Nikon 'pocket' camera (to me..about the size of a pack of cigs) and it impresses me for it's size.

Thanks for the posts guys. I am not sure what exactly i am looking for. I shake bad, so i was thinking i wanted image shake. However, with this camera i have now, i dont seem to show too much shake but i do see some. Plus i am 6 foot 4 245lbs. So i was thinking i need a decent sized camera such as a slr like. Plus, i want some advanced features. I thought about the s5100 from fuji but i have seen some bad noise in the corners of alot of photos from that camera. Not sure though. I do want to print out some 8 x 10s but more of the 4 x 6's would be more useable.
Thanks guys. Let me know what you think. |

Get a tripod and cable release to prevent the crack shakes
Thanks guys. Let me know what you think. |

second hand sony dsc V1 cameras are ridiculously cheap these days. I'm sorely tempted myself. though with my camera I'm sorely tempted by everything. |

Pentax Optio 555
I really like this one. It has great features and is very compact. I had the Optio 550 and unfortunately that is what started me on this damn photography road. No turning back now! |
