Mine's a little different than the norm (but what is the norm with a rubber duck and 5 grapes). Spent 4 hours on it but couldn't get what I was really picturing.

Kind of embarassing to think that a 24hr. rubber ducky challenge will likely be my highest rated shot.

I'm very happy for all you "High scorers" , but has anyone got lower than 4.8 ? Just a yes or no will do!

I wouldn't worry about that! I mean, if it happens to be the one and only rubber ducky april's 1st challenge ever presented to us, and u get to have the blue ribbon, you'll be the only one amongst us all! Be proud of it!

Yeah - seems like there are quite a few relatively high scores - good to see the voters are appreciating the difficulty in constructing a decent photo involving grapes, duckies and the rest of it.

I couldn't get anything I thought worthy - even after making the trek to the store specifically to get hold of some green grapes.

I'm sitting on a 6.0181 for the moment.. It's been rollercoasting between 6.1 and 5.9 since the beginning of the challenge. Given some of the shots I've seen though.. a 5.9 - 6.1 is a great score for my image to have. Thanks everyone! (now go bump it up for me. lol)

Haven't had the time to go through the entries yet. But I'll give it a go tonight, as I wait for the Pet portrait challenge to begin!.

I give anyone who answered the rubber duck challenge a lot of credit: it's difficult to be creative with a duck, grapes, water, 3lights and a blue background in 24 hours..yet, there were some fantastic shots! a lot of them had me really laughing too! I didn't enter, but I've sure enjoyed looking at them and voting...congratulations to everyone who made the effort.

No. someone had you "sorted" in their first voting pass and then bumped your score when they went back to assign final votes. Your score can change without the number of votes changing, and this is why. I sort to 6 and 4, then go back through at least all the 6's and give higher scores to the ones I like best. Time permitting, I also rescore all the 4's, many of which move up to 5. Sometimes time doesn't permit (I do all or none of each group) which explains my slightly low average on scores given.

I suspect, btw, that this may be the highest average scored open competition ever... I think most of us are giving out high scores like candy... I know I am...

I know that. I've just never had it in such an extreme way. I've also noticed that my scores tend to bump .25 points between the last time I check them and the final score. I guess that's the trolls which are sorted out.

I've decided that I'm not going to sleep until the voting is over. Every day I watch my score slowly rise, I go to bed feeling pretty good about my highest scoring challenge. I wake up in the morning and run to the computer to hit the update button and !POW! the score has dropped half a point! I've gotten lots of comments several posting they gave me 8-10 points, but then through the magic of math and someones spreadsheet (thanks! by the way) I see I have gotten 2's and 3's. Oh well, I had a lot of fun with this one. By the way, is it possible to put Photographers comments into a photo once the voting has started?

How's the sleep deprivation, 2Shay? Only a little more than 2.5 hours to go!

I knew my shortfalls when I posted, but I really wanted to be a part of this challange. All the comments I've had so far have affirmed what I thought was wrong. Hey, maybe I'm actually learning something :)

I didn't enter, but I gave everyone who took the time to do it a 10.

Which probably means your votes will be dumped :)
