I've mentioned in another thread that I had taken a shot that I didn't submit but people who had seen it thought it was better than the one I finally chose. I don't agree and I feel the only reason that they say this is because they know what I was shooting and thought it was neat how I'd done it. That wouldn't work in a challenge like this as no one would know that.

I would like some opinions on it though and even better any ideas, techniques etc that can make it better. I do intend to reshoot this again and the input would be appreciated.

Here is the shot.

Yep, I shot it from the bottom right picture on the wall.

Anyway, any ideas, hints, criticisms etc eagerly awaited. Thanks.

I like this shot. It's not boring. The curve adds interest.

I like it also, and would have rated it about a 7. Love the curves and angles.

Axxon, I like the idea but I think the eye should have a palae to rest, a direction to go. I am not saying it as good as the other person but in an opther thread .. I read , and I thought it was right, that a pure reflection per se .. is not that much a reflection anymore because the reflection is not 'defined' by the regilar view. Not sure I am clear.
In the case of the picture above I do not see what the reflection brings excep to 'blur' things. I think I would have give it only a 4.

Your last statement is exactly what I was thinking Lionel. I felt that all I'd accomplshed besides a neat trick was to blur rhe staircase and thats the primary thing I want the reshoot to correct is this blur if possible.

Let me add this; I love this staircase. It is a beauty to me. One of the very first pictures I took was this one:
