I am wanting to get this picture printed for my sister for mothers day. Do you see anything that would make it better? Is the brightness/contrast ok? Thanks

Sonja

I would take off the sig for your sisters photo. It seems a bit bright to me.

The shot it looks nice.
I find the womans hair quite distracting, you are trying to convey emotion here I can see that, however I cannot see enough of the mothers face to clearly understand how I think she feels.

I like the B&W, I feel it show emotion better than color, which can distract for the message!!

Good job

I like the black and white, and especially love the "concept" of the shot. I love that you can see the tiny little hands too! I agree with Brent on the hair - it seems a little overwhelming in the shot, and the shot seems to have the same overall tone - not enough contrast for my taste, but I wouldn't go overboard with the contrast and ruin the nice moody feel.

I like the shot - I'm sure your sister will love it. Personally, I'd leave the text off the picture itself (I'm not a fan of this) - put it in the border if necessary.

I like the tone of the image. The subject matter is great. I see what people are saying about the hair, but I think cropping just to the right of the hands will address this (might upset aspect ratio a bit).

Thank you all for your comments. It took the picture last year and it was really just a snapshot. I didn't know anything about cameras.
