Just finished voting. It always amazes me the different ways one shot can end up when editted by different people. Congrats to all the participants!
Bump for more votes!

Wow! Thank you, Bear!
I'm back from Baltimore....the last leg of the trip was 3 grueling hours of high winds and blinding snow---and I drove it all myself! Saw 3 18-wheelers in interesting positions in the meridian along the way (all different accidents). Happy to be home, but was exhausted from the drive.
I've registered and voted on the current round--interesting variety of interpretations! Good luck to all those who entered! |

Voting is officially closed on this competition!
I'll check with Neil to see how he handles the tabulation etc.
Thanx, all, for participating; check back here for winners announcements.

Good point. I guess it would have to be kept to a limited number.
nshapiro, are you back with the results yet?

This is very strange; as I received the entries I renamed them with a letter of the alphabet in the order they arrived, and sent them to Neil that way so he didn't know who was who. I have checked all the scores and tabulated the top scores. We have a 3-way tie for third place, but one of those images, while it is on my drive with the identifier "K", I cannot find the original submission mail for, nor does it show up on my list in Microsoft Word as a letter assigned to an individual.
So I am gonna list the winners here with an asterisk LOL; one of the third-place finishers needs to let me know who they are... Sigh... I can't imagine how this happened.
Drum Roll...........
First place with 3.1 (out of a possible 5) is KIRBIC
Second place with 3.0 is PETESMITH_88
Third place with 2.9 is shared by STRANGEGHOST, SKYARCHER, and *
Thanks all for contributing!
R.
The Baton passes to the great KIRBIC to provide an image for Round 5; Bear_Music and Kadi have "passes" into this round by fiat. I'll let Neil and Kirbic work out how the rest will get admitted. Please don't do any "applications" in this thread until they announce, OK?

Congrats to Kirbic, and everyone else. If Bear_music or nshapiro could post which images were whose, that'd be cool..
If not, I guess we could all post which one is ours.. mine was this one:

I need Neil's help for that, his gallery. You can see the individual scores under each image if you click on them one by one.

You can't see detailed voting (neither can I). But Robert you can go and change the names to the peoples names pretty easily. Or send me the list, and I will do it. You might also go through and capture the final score (since people might still be scoring it) for each.
Mine was the purpleish painterly one "H" that ended on (or close to) the bottom. I'd be curious to know "why" people didn't like it. To me the final tones kind of reminded me of a Maurice Sendack illustration, and I liked it for that (being one who does like painterly shots--which might be the answer to my questions!)

I thought yours was a cool effect, the only thing was that the sky and especially the clouds looked kind of noisy and posterized.

Here was my entry...
I guess I was on e of the early "conformists." At least 4 of us saw the possibility for similar square crops. I still like the resulting composition.
Although I don't stray from color too often, this one begged for a duotone treatment.
