A very nice treatment. I had something like that in mind, but lacked the skills to pull it off, so the idea was abandoned. Very nice work there. As you can see mine, it's a weird one, lol. I was thinking "if I cant make it moody, I might as well make it bright". Well, cant wait for challenge #5 from you! |

:D Congratulations Kirbic!!
A very valuable lesson was taught to me with this, when I went to vote. I know better, yet, had not calibrated my laptop in a while. So when working on my edit, it was darker. Imagine my surprise when I saw it on the page, very much lighter. ;) Yup, everything is now calibrated again.

Congratulations Fritz!
You won, and the next round is yours. You are welcome to host it in my gallery, and I can set you up as an admin in the gallery for the duration of the contest. Please use the ruleset as stated in the first contest (there's a link in this thread). (Plus added rules 8-10).
And please give priority to those who contributed votes to this round for the next round (as an admin, you will be able to see the list of registered users, or I can send you a list of the people if you are hosting). Except for Robert, it would be good for those who played in Round 4 to sit out one round so others can participate (well, at least I'm sitting out...)
Regards--Neil

Good luck to those in the future!

Hello everyone. Darn. I am sorry I missed this one. I was away for a few days and missed the excitement. Therefor the pic which says justin_hewlett or Bassman7 must be justin, because I missed the competition. (sorry!)
There are some great work here though. Likely would have kicked my butt anyways. I am interested in the next one though, if I did not offend anyone by not being available.
Was there any specific rules or goals to this excercise? |

FWIW, this is how I "saw" the image myself. For me it was all about the strangish relationship between foreground and BG, and the skeletal trees.

All,
Just a note to let you all know that I'm currently in Boise, ID on business, and so it might be a few days until I can get the next round going. Hang in there.

Be sure to have dinner at the "Millennium Falcon", AKA "Chart House". I shot that for the architect way back when. Assuming it's still there :-)

Neil can you please remove my name from the photo it's under. This is not mine. If you or bear_music want proof before crediting the Who? justin_hewlett or Bassman7 3rd place image to me, thats fine I can email the original but can you at least remove my name from the photo that wasn't mine (this one).
Thanks, and thanks for hosting these challenges.
-I might pm you if you don't read this-

Kirsty, I removed the name and replaced it with "?". I also Pm'd Robert to have him can check the name list. Is one of the other photos yours? Perhaps the one where he didn't know the name?

That explains the missing "K" (He says sheepishly): Kirsty's entry is the unattribited 3rd-place winner, and I mistakenly gave both her and Neil the same letter key. So there no longer is a mystery entry :-)
Sorry for the snafu, Kirsty!

Gawd, I don't know. I'm losing my mind. I thought I'd figured out a way to do this logically but evidently not. Organization is not my strong suit.
Now about EVERYBODY post their image in their DPC portfolio and thumb them here, and we can see how the freak many I missed anyway?
For sure I'm never gonna do this again, I'll just pass off to the next in line...

My email is in my port? Or do I have to email it to someone? Just let me know!
Thanks!

Yes, that must be hers, because I totally forgot all about this contest and didn't get my entry done in time. So you didn't receive a submission from me.
