Has a photo you took consciously or unconsciously been inspired by a DPC member's photo? Post your inspirations and your own photos side-by-side. Here's mine; I critiqued Rikki's beautiful drippy coil pic ;) and found myself taking something similar, found in nature, some time later:

Holy cow Batman! It's like twins separated at birth! This is a great capture Louis! I can't believe the resemblance of the twisted vine with the twisted paperclip ;)
The funny thing is, I've never seen anything like that vine you posted. It would be cool to find one and capture it myself and do a side by side diptych or something ;)
Cheers,
Rikki

This photo was subconciously inspired in part by a photo my Mavrik (who is no longer with DPC). I didn't even realize I was doing it, and he saw it in the challenge and IM'd me going "dude, this guy totally copied me!!"
I thought it was pretty funny.

All different techniques and all with something new to learn from ;) |

ellamay's Menacing
I tryed what I thought was a similar effect but did not really carry it off. Ironically I was thumbing through a local digital photography magazine & saw the winning entry for a competition they were running & it was virtually my photograph of the same two buildings.

The photo was taken some time in April, just before all the green stuff came up, so I think these were last year's. They were growing (or more accurately had grown) all over a kind of driftwood fence beside the field there. I think they may be raspberries or some other kind of fruit but I'm not sure. |

My Complementary Colors entry was inspired by Rikki. I'm often inspired by the works of others for instance...
Inudustrial Bronze was inspired by classic Americana pin-up.
The Infamous Got Cheese was inspired directly by the Got Milk ad campaign.
Plastic Porn was inspired by oh so many car/chick calenders.
