I've searched for my answer, but didn't find it. Here goes:
When using advanced editing for a challenge submission and layers are used, can you rotate and mirror the image through duplication of the entire image? Scenario: The picture has 4 quadrants....can you use the same image rotated and mirrored differently in each of the quads? The 4 quadrants would create a geometric type design out of the same picture.
Would this get you DQ from a contest with advanced editing allowed? |

You would get DQd for adding major elements.

So mirror and rotation without changing anything in the photo itself would be considered adding major elements? |

Yes, because you are essentially creating 3 new whole photos in your submission.

As stated, this would result in DQ. To clarify the reason, you're duplicating the image to make the four quadrants. That woudl certainly be considered duplicating a major element, since you duplicated the entire image.
