During my lunch break in about 2.5 hours time, I am going to climb a small mountain and take some shots of the small town where I grew up. I'd really love to stitch the photos together as smoothly as possible.
The problem is, I tried this yesterday, and even though I used my tripod, there were big differences between photos (from sky color to perspective). I used my 55mm lens yesterday. I'm thinking the perspective may turn out a little better if I used my 300mm. Anyone have any advice for me?
Thanks,
Brian

Set your camera to full manual so that you get the same exposure values in each part of the scene. If you let the camera do it automatically, views that show more sky will be exposed with a faster shutter than views that are mostly of buildings or greenery. |

In addition to manual exposure settings, use a constant white balance setting. Using the auto white balance will give you differences in color rendition from shot to shot.
Overlap by about 20-25% of the frame width. Don't use the wide end of the 18-55mm lens to minimize distortion. |

Thanks guys. If I'm successful I'll post my results tomorrow.
