The folks on Dpc have chose this one. 29 people have it as their favorite.
This is my all time favorite.
But I also like this because it is my family. :-)

I think it's a great idea! Let everyone flag their best/favorite and put into a gallery. |

This is probably my favorite photo. Found him while looking for insects to shoot. Used the quarter to highlight how small he was:

Yes. That would be a nice way to keep it flexible, so you could change your 'favorite' !

Maybe have a check box in your portfolio for your current 'fav'
Those could all be pulled together in one central gallery... |

I was thinking of something along similar lines recently. I thought maybe an extra gallery could be created for photos which people would like to have critiqued. It would save a lot of "comments required on my pic" forum threads. I've been having trouble keeping up with all the forum threads lately, and many of them are such "photo coment" threads. The photos (with a link to the corresponding portfolios) can stay in the gallery queue for a week to gather comments and critiques.
Well I like the idea anyway :-)

This an excellent thread and I will come back here many times.
(Great Idea PCody!!! Congrats).
This is certainly one of my best pictures ever (certainly among the best three):
I posted it in the recent "Grace" challenge and it did not go very far, but it does not matter really. After all, you know when your photo is good or bad and that in some circumnstances they can be just unlucky.
This is the first picture that I framed and hanged on my wall and, yeah, it looks good. =)

It doesn't compare to some of the images on here, but it's my favorite.
Here I go again, not sure if I got it from my portfolio onto here. I have a difficult time with that.

HI. Just a quick note for all those having trouble posting your thumbs. Go to your portfolio and write down the number of the picture you want to post. You only need the number itself! Come back here and click on "add reply". When the window pops up, write whatever you want, then when you are ready to post your thumbnail, click on the last button on the toolbar, the one with a large and small box. You will get another popup. Type in the number of your picture only, nothing else. That should work.
Hope this helps. |

This was one of the first images I took with my F707. I only had one 128mb card so I had the jpeg setting on Normal instead of Fine and I accidentaly had the ISO set to either 200 or 400 but at least I was smart enough to use a tripod and a slow shutter speed. I have gone back to the original photo a couple of times to try to improve it with newly learned information. I have gone back to the same location at Alki beach in West Seattle to try to duplicate the shot at a better quality setting but I have never been able to match the colors and the smoothness of the water that was in the original image.

I have just submitted my best one for Book Titles, I guess. With a HP PhotoSmart 318 it's hard to make good shots, anyway I am courious about it, whether you will like this shot, too. :-) Details after voting.

I don't really have a "favorite", but two that I like a lot are:
My darkened digital art version of my yellow challenge shot that I'm getting a 12x36 print of.
The panorama from this, as well as some of the smaller shots in it. This is probably my favorite set of photographs. |
