Im thinking about doing this for a project in my photo class. If you dont know its basically making 3d images from using 2 pictures of thesame thing offset a little(to simulate it being your eyes) and using a viewer to combine them. Anyone ever do this before?

I think there was a thread about this a while ago -- try searching from the main Forums page. Also try searching the web for a gadget I've seen which attaches to your tripod, and allows your camera to slide sideways a specified distance optimized for combining the images. |

Ahh, General, you were faster.
I don't have any stereograms in my portfolio, other than the one posted in the other thread. I find that they just don't look that good at low res. I do love doing them, I mostly do them hand-held, which isn't the best technique but with some practice yields surprisingly good results. I normally use a bit more separation than is "natural", depending on if (or how much) I want to enhance the stereo effect.
