Don't worry, you won't need waders!
Just thought I'd let you know that, since we all know that Lansing came about by, pretty much a landscam. New York investors bought the land sight unseen, and arrived here to find, basically a really big swamp! Most went home defeated or went elsewhere, but a few stubborn individuals settled the area out of spite, and...here we are :-)
But yeah, it's all pretty much solid now, so don't worry about needing waders or sinking in muck! :-P

Still not 100% sure I will be able to make it, but since I was checking to see how to get to the Capitol Bldg, I figured that I would give you the link to the Google Map and directions I came across and maybe anyone who hasn't a clue (as am I) as to how to go about looking for the building, could maybe also use it. Hmmmm. did that make any sense at all???

Anyways... click HERE to go the map showing how to get from Muskegon, MI to 100 N. Capitol Ave. You should be able to make adjustments or actually do a search from your neck of the woods!!

Any Lansing-ites out there... check this out for me please. You know how reliable some internet maps are...I could end up in Manitoba or sumpin! ;)

Dantzr- that map is good :-)
As an alternative if you want, that last 6 miles on m-43 is actually Saginaw St. that is just a regular city street that goes all across the city. You could go past exit 93B, get on I-496, and get off at the Capitol Loop exit. This would put you within about 6 blocks or so of the capitol. Only thing slightly confusing is, downtown, most of the streets are one-ways. You often have to go around blocks and stuff to get where you are going. Once you're close, you can pretty much see the dome, and just head for it.

Looks like I'm out. I really want to make one of these get togethers, but Saturdays are tough through the fall (too many soccer and football games to attend on Saturdays).

Oh well, maybe next time. I look forward to seeing some pics.

I can't make it. They scheduled Saturday production. I swore I heard on the radio that vehicle sales were down and wouldn't rebound until next year.
