I am so SORRY for not being around much lately.
My sciatica (not sure of the spelling, actually I have no idea how to spell this word) nerve in my buttocks and down my right leg, as it is so dam painful.....(Pinched nerve)
I am having a lot of trouble sitting at the computer for any length of time.
I will try and catch up with some comments when ever I can. I was so up to date with comments, until these past four days, so please forgive me..... It is also hard to set up the camera to take photos as well but I will try.....
I just love all your images and please kep them comomg.....

My students and I enjoyed watching "The NutCracker" today. In honor of the dance of the sugar plum farries we made "Sugar Plums" for snack time. The kids had a blast making and eating them. I on the other hand am exhausted!

secondly .. dont apologise .. you are one of the most prolific commenters on this site i'd say .. maybe THE most prolific !!!
and speaking for myself .. i really love getting your comments but not if it causes you pain ..
it's possible that sitting at the computer could make it worse .. i dont know ..
rest and heal .. i'll look forward to hearing that you're feeling better .. you know you are in my thoughts and prayers .. :):)xx

BTW, those who saw my previous pictures and know the story of the big snowstorm we got earlier this month: well another one is on the way, which should leave a first layer of about 45cm and then a second layer of 15cm, with a few hours of "relief" in the meantime. You know, it's funny, but just about the time I'm feeling sorry for myself for not living someplace cool like Florida or Oz to take pictures, I get a regular old ice storm and you guys make me feel like I'm on top of the world. It was just gorgeous this morning with the clouds gone and the sun shimmering throuigh the ice that was all over everything. So here are some more......enjoy!

I brought my new swamp buggy home. It needs a little tinkering, but I will be enjoying it soon in the Everglades as a photo platform and a fun ride.
It was built for Clyde Butcher, an extraordinary B&W landscape photographer, who was introduced to the Florida Everglades by my brother. He has another smaller one now, and gave this one to my nephew and me.
It has been sitting in the weather for about 6 years and has always had engineering problems, which I will take care of before going too deep into the "Glades" with it.

edit. It rained here this evening! Almost an inch, which is the first real rain that we have had in a month or so.
Also, Shez, I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble sitting at your computer that you enjoy so much. I hope that you will be better soon, and back to your normal shooting, posting, and commenting.
