WOW!!! Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my shot yesterday! What a fabulous welcome!! That kind of inspired me to narrow my "Where I Live" parameters to the Boiling Springs area. I'll probably be using some "Oldies but Goodies" to show you guys the area, but it will be closer to where I actually live instead of just the general area. That said, here's another picture of my favorite lake with a little explanation of how the town of Boiling Springs got its name. I live about four miles outside this lovely little hamlet on top of a mountain. It's just a wonderful place to live!

As you know I love the beaches here in Caloundra so just had to put these three images together to form this triptych of my favorite waves..... Enjoy.

Day 7 Green building
This is an apartment building close to my place. It is called the green building not because it is green but because it uses some of the wind energy (through the wind mill) and it has also solar panels and it is supposed to be an "intelligent" building.

Day 7, as promised, a picture of a longtime animal shelter resident named Eva, who is patiently awaiting a new family:
I take pictures every Monday at the shelter. Today I photographed 19 dogs, 1 rabbit, 2 Doves, 2 Cockatiels, 2 Ball Pythons, and 9 cats. All are either available for adoption or will be in the next couple of days. Normally this time of year is kind of quiet in terms of the number of shelter residents but the flow hasn't slowed down at all since the spring rush started. Not so great for the critters :-(
Now I have to go process all those pictures to be precisely 550 pixels wide by 425 pixels high, padded with white when needed to get the right size, and doing cosmetic touchup like cloning out eye goobers and dog spit. This is the boring part of the "job."

Well, we had record breaking temperatures here today, it got in the 60's! I couldn't wait to get out, I took tons of pics. Here's a couple for day 7.
