Day 9 - what most people think of first when they think of Springfield, VA: 
I know it's snapshotty but it's difficult to capture just how closely people relate the words "traffic" and "Springfield." I may try again later, from a different approach.
Anyway, if you travel through here on I95, you can't say I haven't warned you. Wave as you pass by :-)

I'm still Sick As Dog (SAD), and thank you all for your fun and kind comments on my Sick Food photo. A while ago I heaved myself out of bed and went shopping. All my friends live elsewhere (Phoenix is huge) and work, and the guy I've been seeing took this opportunity to be a giant ass, so I just went and got my own food. Soup is merrily simmering in the pot, even as I type.
Here's one of my many, many Florida photos that I processed today in lieu of taking a new one - say of tea and kleenex. Doing some PP has actually lifted my spirits, and in all actuality, I'm starting to feel a bit better. I think the fever is gone, for one - that's really helpful. If I can continue to sit upright, I'll also comment on some of your photos! :o)

I just wanted to say a BIG rhank you to all the wonderful people who take the time to comment on not only my images but everyones images.
I have had a dreadful week of being completely deaf due to both my ears being totally blocked. My Doctor gave me the ear drops to soften the wax and it took 6 days to do this before having them syringed.
I can hear again.
This is happening much more often now, and will be a recurring problem . Just another thing I have to add to the list that I have to deal with.
Life here at DPC really does help me so much to keep me occupied and not thinking of myself.
I really do want to say THANK YOU so much for being YOU.....
I also appriciate what site council and the administrators do here at DPC, to make my life more enjoyable. I love wakeing up and turning on my computer to DPC and my emails lately
I have enjoyed the wonderful surprise of all the emails downloading saying I have comments on my images..... I awole this morning to 20 of these messages. It really is a wonderful way to start the day.....

This is Lake Eola in downtown Orlando; it is very popular with couples and joggers looking to get away from work for a bit.

Home of my most expensive lunch ever. This is the Bridgetown Mill Inn.
Edit to add: those of you that liked my exercise (LOL) regime at the health club ... should know that I will be sleeping like a baby soon. I just did an hour of aqua step class. Whew! And I'm glad to report that the other ladies were complaining that their legs hurt (the old gal is back!). I'm sure I'll be sore tomorrow, but I completed it (they didn't). YEAH.

This is another Old building. This one is just off the square in Springfield, it was gutted and totally remodeled. It now houses the Jordon Valley Innovation Center. Missouri State University does Nano technology research for the Government here. So even though we still have old technology like outhouses and water mills we also have the latest technologies also.

I am now out and about a bit thanks to a homeopathic remedy for gout. I still have one very swollen foot and the other is pretty normal. Thanks for all your comments and wishes for me to get better soon. I am looking forward to feeling much better tomorrow.
A group of friends and I met at an overlook of Pila`a Beach and I have posted some more shots in another folder called within the 30 days where I live Jan 08 folder in a sub folder Pila`a Bay.
I know I suck because I choose to live in Kaua`i. Happy to be sucking up the beauty this island has to offer. I lived in NY for 20 years and needed a change of pace.
