Everyone who is worried about low-end cameras: I just went out the back and did a quick experiment, and ended up with this fine result :P.
, I'm still sorting out in my mind how that works.<br><br>Well, his head is in focus, so I think it proves it's possible, even with a really low end, point and shoot camera like mine :). We just have to choose our subject carefully and use a lot of trial and error, but since this is digital photography that's not hard. Some advice on how to use things like EV compensation to get this effect would help too, for a technique-based challenge like pan shots.<br><br>Anyway, it was fun to try :)</td></tr></table></td></tr>

| No... I was going to try the sunglasses idea, but somehow it just worked without any kind of filter. It's like black magic sometimes :) |

I absolutely agree with that - I like this site because it positively encourages people to try things. Yes the theory says that you're not going to get a great panning shot of an F1 car with a Polaroid PDC but that doesn't stop you experimenting and turning out great stuff like this.
I have a quote pinned up at work from one of those quote a day calendars - "Don't let what you cannot do get in the way of what you can" - but then I've got a D1 ;-))
