No clue, but perhaps you can delay it, instead of cancelling it? That might make them happier. |

B&H just got a customer for life. The guy canceled the order instantly and gave 100% refund (of course it will take the bank a few days to figure this out), and said to call back or visit the website when I am ready to reorder.
What is funny, is that I saw the rebate thread on my home page just before I ordered, but I remembered reading one yesterday about some UK or Canadian deal and thought it was that one again. That money was just burning too big of a hole to take the time to read about the Canon rebate.
So, I guess all is well. Now I need to figure out what accessories I will spend that $200 on...after I upgrade my shipping to next day! XD

SHORTAGE?!?! LOL
I am not exactly sure the guy bought my "the bank called and said there was a problem with today's deposit" story, but he was nice enough not to laugh at me (at least not while I was on the phone).
I guess I will bask in my idiocy for another week, then order the same camera and save some $$$ |

Maybe you should reward hopperwith some of the rebate for the heads up. Then hopper can reward me for suggesting his reward.:) |

I received a confirmation of cancelation email from B&H, so all I have to do now is wait for their bank to tell my bank they don't need the money...oh yeah, and wait for the sale to start! |

Fed-Ex has delivered all my packages around 3pm, and UPS around 5-6pm.
So naturally I selected UPS to deliver my camera as I would not be home at 3, but could hussle home to meet the big brown truck after work.
"Delivery attempted at 9:33 AM"...what the hell!?! I am glad I paid for next day shipping so I can drive my happy butt to the store to pick it up tomorrow morning. I already called to see if they could drop it off with our friends down the street (it's like 9 houses down) and they said "No, but if you had a neighbor that could sign for it..." well all my neighbors will be at work except for the one down the street that I mentioned before. "Sorry, would you like to pick it up at the warehouse?" I am glad I paid you guys $50+ to drive by my house, ring the doorbell, scribble on a note and go about your day. Luckily it is on my way to work and I won't be out too much in gas money.
I'm shipping Fed-ex from now on! Our Fed-ex guy has taken the time to put bigger packages around the house, through the gate, and under the back porch (out of sight) when they wouldn't fit between the doors. He even had one that was supposed to be signed for (because of its cost) and put it inside our back porch, tripped the lock so the door couldn't be opened from the outside, and placed a nicely written note inside our mail slot (instead of posted to the door for all to see).
Good-bye brown truck...hello white, purple and orange! |

I can see where that would be irritating, but the UPS guy could have just left it on your doorstep, like mine does, and someone could have taken it! My old UPS driver used to put the packages in the garage, the new guy doesn't even ring the bell! |

I know the feeling but sometimes it's not UPS's fault, some vendors require a signiture and no matter what UPs can't leave it. But I feel you on the waiting for your new gear and expecting it one day and having to wait another. I got screwed once when some new gear was to be delivered on a Friday and i missed the Brown man and had to wait until the following Monday, pissed me off to no end. |

Yeah I know it probably wasn't his fault, B&H probably said a $1100 package can't be left without a signature. I think I am more pissed at myself for thinking they would run their usualy evening route. I need to catch this guy and the FedEx man next time he delivers and let them know they can sign anything they want for me if they leave it in the backyard in the porch. Our neighbors' huge, loud dogs keep anyone from snooping between the houses to get to our fenced in backyard and the gate on the alley side has a deadbolt. I miss that small town service, and sense of security.
Man it is going to be hard to get any work done tomorrow with a brand new camera sitting on my desk. |

FYI, I believe both FedEX and UPS are "Next Day By 10:30". So actually, you got what you asked for.
I get next day and second-day deliveries then and the regular stuff later in the day. Just the feature of the service. Your ground deliveries are what come so late.
And normally, you can leave a signature on file with both carriers for them to leave stuff. But anything expensive I get shipped is normally noted as "ADULT SIGNATURE REQUIRED" which means a person literally has to sign for and accept the shipment.
This wasn't a UPS screw up. :)
