Hi,
Just found this site via Dreamstime and Yanik's links web page from that site. Hope to learn lots of new stuff moving around the internet photography websites. I use quite a few forums but always looking for new ideas, etc.
Catch you on the boards sometime soon.

Hi Vernon,
If you have a look at  rox_rox's profile, there is an excellent "advice for newbies" link which will help you avoid many of the usual pitfalls here at DPC.
I hope that you will get in the mix here and have a good experience while enjoying the community and learning about digital photography.

Hi Hardhhat and welcome! ...can I suggest that you see if you can make the time to join some challenges....otherwise you may not realise why you joined.....again, welcome and best wishes! ....and I can't believe that no-one has told you yet, but I have it on good authority that you need to watch out for Art and Slippy, from what I've heard they have the mysterious ability to corrupt and lead people astray...En guarde!...oh goodness ...lucky you don't have anyy italian relatives. Good luck!

Thanks MelonMusketeer - Liked point 14 ;) I use various other forums and are amazed by people not reading the manual and at the end of the day it's digital so your not wasting film just try things out.
Brat - How do you know I don't have Italian relations ;) - I'll keep and eye out for Art & Slippy but that could be the other way round.

Welcome, and definitely watch out for Art & Slippy. But if you ever need a village burned or a router replaced, they've got your back.
