Yes, your camera supports it. It is extra, non-image data written to the file which records the date, exposure info, etc. Use an image viewer such as IrfanView (PC) to look at it, or if you are running Vista (and maybe XP) you can accesses it through the file's Properties. I forget what you use to read it on a Mac.

Here's an example of what one of my cameras records:

You can use either Preview or iPhoto, or Finder will show you a limited amount of information.

iPhoto: cmd-click and select "view photo information".

Preview: cmd-I, go to the middle "tab" (it has a speech bubble on it) and there's an option that says "EXIF".

Finder: cmd-click, select "Get Info", and click down the arrow next to "More Info". This, oddly, gives you everything (including the color profile and the focal length) except the ISO.

ColorSync Profile won't give you EXIF. I find this odd as well.

You can view it with Graphic Converter App on a Mac as well. The older 0SX came with G C.

Correct. Whatever format you shoot in, remember that if you are required to submit a proof file, you need to submit the original file from the camera. If you shot RAW, submit the RAW. The only exception is if you shoot RAW+JPEG and process your entry from the RAW file, the JPEG that the camera wrote *is* a valid original.
