I have no clue how to figure it out, my wife is the math professor, I don't do numbers! I finished that one with a 6.02 I think.

Can't watch it any longer. I suppose the downward trend is better to know now, than to be shocked in the morning :(

Yeah, you're supposed to wait until after the voting phase -- not sure why, since you're not entered, but that's the general "rule"

The problem is, if yours is so much better than the competition, it could skew the votes. I thought it was silly, but I guess it's true. Especially if your was very similar to another, it's hard for people to not compare photos. It's easier when you think of something like the flower challenge. Say there were 10 daisy shots, and yours was truly incredible, now all the rest of the shots will pale in comparison and might be voted down because they could have been so much better.

Its REALLY early in voting, but I have to say that I am satisfied with the score so far. I am not good at portraits, and only entered because this is this first week of the formula DPC side challenge, otherwise I wouldnt have entered. if it finished in this range, I will be happy. Although... Id be happier if it beat my average :D


I'm in the same boat... i.e. entered only b/c of Formula DPC. However, I'm not doing nearly as well as you with the voters.

Not so good so far, but portraits aren't my forte. Thanks Yo_Spiff for the good comment. Much better than the two "Nice XXXXXX" comments (but a fave!) so far from last Tuesday's entry.

Nah I entered a portrait of my girlfriend as we had done a shoot earlier in the week and it looked good, I really don't know why it isnt scoring even a little higher... How is yours doing Will?

Well at least it is not in the fours. Received a wonderful comment from a photographer I respect very much which made me feel good because I am still working on portraits. I really like how it came out that I plan on printing it on canvas.
