I'm debating about posting images of this place without reworking them pretty hard 'cause there were some pretty raw and obnoxious messages spray-painted about the place. Bear in mind I just shot this for the composition of the stairwell....

While in San Francisco, I took the usual "tourist shots" (Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, cable cars, and city views such as last weeks submission). Of all the photos I took, this rather simple view of incoming waves at Ocean Beach ended up being one of my favorites. Everytime I look at it, I can hear and smell the ocean. For best effect, view in Large format on Flickr.

I like the way you've processed this, little more sombre and contemplative, and the deep blacks under the waves I like as well. |
