This abandoned church is in North Central Oregon off Hwy 97. More:

I had to retrace our trip on Google maps to find the place, but I found it - in the middle of nowhere. I LOVE Google maps for stuff like this!



It is in Grass Valley, OR. It's the Old Grass Valley Methodist Church. Here's the google map.

Art - congrats on the top 10 finish, but this picture was a shocker for me. It is quite similar, but mirror image, to the church I grew up next door to - follow the link for a picture. I'd never seen another like it - until now.
Calapooia Country Church, West of Sutherlin, OR off I-5
Even the interior is quite similar, with the wainscoting, etc. Now I am really curious as to which was first, or if they were done completely independently, and just happen to be similar. Thanks for sharing. Made my day...

Another movie I have never heard of. I decided to look it up, and it sounds right up my alley. I am a HUGE horror fan, and immediately when I saw this picture, I thought to myself "this has got to be a horror film".
Excellent job portraying eeriness! Was this really a church, or a house? It's hard to tell, especially with the chimney there, and the yellow tractor(?) to the side.
